VS Code extension

All My Do brings your personal task inbox into VS Code.

If you are drowning in accounts across tools like Jira, Azure DevOps, GitHub, and Outlook, you can now manage your personal inbox directly inside VS Code. All My Do gives you one unified list in the side bar, so you can review details, update status, and stay focused on your code.

Install from Marketplace How to get started

To install from the editor, open Quick Open with Ctrl+P or Cmd+P and run ext install allmydo.amd.

ext install allmydo.amd

What you can do

Unified tasks in the side bar

View your Inbox, Today list, and workspace tasks in the side bar. It is the same unified list you see in the web app, showing tasks from connected sources like Azure DevOps, Jira, GitHub, and Outlook.

Fast filtering and sorting

Filter your tasks by Account, Source, and Type facets, or use text search to find what you need quickly. You can sort the list or switch between All, Open, and Done statuses, with Open selected by default.

Task details in an editor tab

Open tasks in dedicated editor tabs to read formatted descriptions, view links, and add comments. You can keep multiple panels open at once and update status, with Jira status options ordered just like Jira.

Workspace SmartLists

Bind your current project folder to specific connections and scopes based on local git remotes, or reuse an existing SmartList. Configuration is saved per user in the editor, so no extra files are added to your repository.

Quick actions from the editor

Create a new task, toggle Today, ignore an item, or mark work done without switching away from your editor. You can also sync connections, refresh your lists, look up tasks, or open any item in All My Do in your browser.

How to set it up

  1. Install the extension from the Visual Studio Marketplace.
  2. Open the All My Do icon in the activity bar.
  3. Open the Command Palette, select "All My Do: Sign In", click Open, and complete your sign-in in the browser using your Microsoft or Google account.
  4. Return to the editor to see your Inbox, Today list, and workspace tasks appear in the side bar.

Requirements

You need an All My Do account to use the extension, and you can start on the free tier rather than a time-limited trial. The extension requires VS Code version 1.85 or later. It is published only on the Visual Studio Marketplace.

Early access

All My Do is in early access, so expect rough edges and missing features as we continue building. If you run into an issue or have feedback as an insider, please report it to support@allmydo.com.
